Best language for wrapping and responding to a constant console output

52m I have a Go application that constantly spits out data to the console. I have a need to take this output and do something with it. I had intended to use PowerShell to simply monitor the output, but I realized that it isn't terribly feasible for constant console output, because it never ends. As such, I can't simply use $variable = invoke-expression $command, or something along those lines. What would you recommend as the simplest path to wrap this application and moni

How does C code find where libraries are stored? (linux/gcc)

    learn programming

1h Hey, in this introduction there is the line "#include ", how does my compiler know where this header file is located? Where could I find it in my file explorer? Then, to compile the code, I have to run this specific command: "gcc $( pkg-config --cflags gtk4 ) -o example example.c $( pkg-config --libs gtk4 )". Why does this work? Thanks in advance! :) submitted by /u/leftdownup [link] [comments]

How do I setup a professional project on IntelliJ?

    learn programming

1h52m I want to make an email service using JavaMail. Since I need a client and server they would both be in different packages (if I'm using the term correctly). How would I set this up properly in IntelliJ with them both having their own pom.xmls and other important files? I also need to learn about module-info and how to use it properly. Any links to resources would be appreciated. submitted by /u/31456 [link] [comments]

Good source to enhance my OOP skills

    learn programming

1h59m So I know the basics of OOP and I have worked on a small OOP-based project at uni, but I still don't feel like this is enough. I was wondering if there was any source (book, challenging problems, courses) that I could use to improve my OOP knowledge and experience. P.S: As I mentioned, I already know the basics, so I don't want anything that will go over the basics again. submitted by /u/omar3bdellatif [link] [comments]
